A research team introduced the concept of a "forking paths agent garden." Their experiments revealed that when AI agents are given identical data, questions, and rigorous analysis instructions, simply altering a single "role setting" or "prior belief" in the prompt triggers a butterfly effect. This guides the agents down entirely different analytical paths, ultimately leading to completely opposite scientific conclusions.
