Cloud Run Introduces Sandbox Execution Environment
Uncanny_Harry · x · 2026-07-09
Google Cloud Run has introduced a new sandbox capability, designed for applications and agents to execute complex tasks within an isolated runtime, such as manipulating files, writing code, building and running programs, and invoking tools.
The team highlights that this is a native, lightweight, and secure execution environment with rapid startup. It can run untrusted code and agent workloads directly within existing Cloud Run resources.
