Automated Architecture Search for Embodied Agents

This paper explores how to automatically search for the architecture of embodied agents to improve performance on embodied tasks. Results show that while this automated design approach has the potential to boost performance, it also exposes challenges related to optimization signals, local optima, and credit assignment during simulation training.
