GLM-5.2 Prices Surge Multiple Times in a Week
anmolgaur45 · reddit · 2026-07-09
Using a script to track prices every 3 hours, the author found that GLM-5.2 was quietly repriced multiple times within a week without any official announcement. Input prices surged from roughly $0.57 to $0.90 per million tokens, while output prices jumped from $1.80 to $3.08.
The post also notes similar price fluctuations for Tencent's Hy3. It advises developers to implement fallbacks and price monitoring rather than hardcoding a single vendor or fixed price, as cheap models offer cost advantages but high volatility.
