Humanoid Robot Performs First Live Surgery

A UC San Diego research team published a new study in Nature detailing the first surgical testing of a humanoid robot on a live animal. In the study, a teleoperated humanoid robot successfully performed a laparoscopic cholecystectomy on a pig, covering tests ranging from benchtop inspections and dry labs to the full live procedure.
