As an unpaid tester with access to early models from multiple labs, he states he feels no pressure to be overly positive, choosing instead to directly report poor performance to the labs or refrain from posting altogether. He argues that the actual benefits of early access lie entirely with the labs. Bound by NDAs and limited usage windows, individual testers cannot deeply deploy these models in production environments, meaning they gain little to no substantive competitive advantage.
