Additionally, the model separates conversation from heavy compute tasks. When search or deep reasoning is needed, GPT-Live offloads the task to a frontier model (GPT-5.5 at launch) in the background while keeping the voice chat uninterrupted. Two versions, GPT-Live-1 and GPT-Live-1 mini, are now available globally.
