ByteDance Releases Seedream 5.0 Pro

ByteDance's Seed team has launched Seedream 5.0 Pro, a multimodal image generation model now available on the Volcano Ark experience center, with upcoming integrations for Doubao and Jimeng. This version significantly enhances complex information visualization, interactive precise editing, realistic portrait textures, and native multilingual input and generation.
Hands-on tests show stable performance in commercial posters, realistic photography, and local precise editing, though shortcomings remain in complex Chinese text, UI details, and character consistency. For API pricing, it charges per input and output image: 0.3 元/张 for output images up to 236 万像素, and 0.6 元/张 beyond that threshold.
