Memory Chip Stocks Surge on AI Computing Demand

According to Bloomberg, the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index rose 82% this quarter, its best quarterly performance ever. Western Digital is up 240% year-to-date, Micron up 310%, SanDisk up 700%. Different companies with different products all benefit from the same tailwind (AI computing power); nearly any stock in this basket purchased this year would yield gains.
