Skybridge MCP v1.1/v1.2 Adds View Tools and DevTools Control
harijoe_ · reddit · 2026-07-07
Open-source MCP application framework Skybridge has released two consecutive versions. v1.1 introduces View tools, allowing models to directly invoke functions at the view layer without routing through an MCP server, thereby reducing round-trip latency and view re-rendering. v1.2 offers a plug-and-play OAuth integration assistant for MCP server developers, now supporting five major identity providers including WorkOS, Auth0, Clerk, Stytch, and Descope, which significantly lowers the barrier for authentication development. The new version also supports WebMCP (an experimental Chrome flag) to let models directly drive browser DevTools. During development and debugging, agents can inspect application states in real-time, forming a tighter feedback loop. Project link: github.com/alpic-ai/skybridge.
