US tech companies' total leasing commitments for data centers have reached $850 billion, representing a 204% year-over-year and 31% quarter-over-quarter increase. In Q1, Meta added $79 billion (up 76% QoQ), bringing its total commitments to $183 billion. Oracle holds the highest total commitment scale at around $250 billion, largely driven by contractual obligations to OpenAI. These figures reflect the sheer intensity of the ongoing AI compute arms race.
