Anthropic Research Finds Claude Has a "Mental Workspace"

Anthropic published research claiming that Claude possesses an internal "mental workspace" named "J-space". The study suggests that the model performs certain internal representational computations before generating an answer, providing new clues for understanding the internal mechanisms of large models.
