Fable Agent: The Architect + Worker Orchestration Pattern

john_lam · x · 2026-07-07

johnlam shared his deep-dive experience with Fable over the weekend, which completely transformed his workflow. He highlights the effectiveness of the "Architect + Worker" pattern: he interacts solely with Fable acting as the architect, which then spawns sub-agents (workers) to handle various tasks.

He also observed that the architect remains responsive while sub-agents are executing tasks (e.g., providing immediate feedback after dispatching a documentation sub-agent). This keeps him constantly in the loop and prevents his mind from wandering during wait times, marking a significant UX improvement.
