Kai-Fu Lee: Half of Firms Need New Leaders, 95% of AI Transformations Fail
kaifulee · x · 2026-07-07
Kai-Fu Lee predicts that in the AI era, about 50% of companies will need to replace their leadership, as traditional management methods will fail. He observed that over 95% of so-called "AI transformation" projects fail because they merely patch AI pilots onto functional tasks without touching the core business. To address this, he launched TrueNorth AI, a decision-making platform for executives featuring agents like Boss AI, TopSales AI, and Investor AI, and further detailed his enterprise AI transformation methodology in an interview.
