Run Agents Autonomously With One Line of Code: Proactivity SDK

regalstreak · reddit · 2026-07-07

Every agent framework only provides a passive loop—requiring a human prompt to act. To make it report every morning or follow up in 3 days, developers must act as schedulers, memory, and triggers. This SDK's proactive() wraps an existing agent in a single call: allowing it to wake up automatically on a custom schedule (checking back in a few minutes when busy, sleeping until the next day when idle), informing it of changes since last time, retaining goals across wake-ups to avoid redundant work, and preventing duplicate sends. It is compatible with LangGraph, OpenAI SDK, Anthropic SDK, Mastra, and Eve; it can be installed as a plugin by pasting a single command on OpenClaw or Hermes.
