9Router: A Free Router Connecting All AI Coding Tools
socialwithaayan · x · 2026-07-07
An open-source tool called 9Router (around 20k GitHub stars) seamlessly connects coding tools like Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Cline, and Copilot to over 40 model providers.
Running locally on localhost:20128, it handles routing, format conversion, quota tracking, and automatic fallback: once a subscription quota is exhausted, it switches to a cheaper plan, and then to a free tier if needed, ensuring uninterrupted coding.
Its RTK token compression processes tool outputs before requests, reducing token consumption by 20-40% per request.
