Alibaba Accused of Distilling Claude, Then Bans Claude Code

Anthropic has accused Alibaba of creating tens of thousands of fake Claude accounts to scrape intellectual property via distillation attacks.
In retaliation, Alibaba demanded that its full-time employees (excluding contractors) stop using Claude Code.
Separately, Reddit users have noticed that Claude has become noticeably more cautious and prone to false positives with unusual prompts, leaving many users caught in the crossfire of this corporate dispute.
