xAI has released Grok Build 0.2.87, bringing multiple CLI quality improvements. Key updates include automatic subscription upgrade detection (no CLI restart required), a new "Never Allow" persistent option for Bash permission prompts, and a new /docs slash command for direct documentation browsing. Additionally, reasoning effort settings per model can now be configured server-side without a client release, and completed thinking blocks can be collapsed into the tool call line for cleaner output. Various stability and refinement issues were also fixed.
