Waymo Safety Data: Severe Crash Rate 13x Lower Than Humans

Waymo released new safety data showing that after driving over 170 million miles, its autonomous driving system's severe injury crash rate in comparable cities is 1/13 that of human drivers. This large-scale autonomous driving mileage statistic is used to demonstrate the safety advantages of robotaxis.
