Thiel Slams Pope's AI Regulation Push as Boon for China

According to CNN, Peter Thiel directly criticized the Vatican at the Aspen Ideas Festival, stating that Pope Leo XIV is inadvertently acting as an "agent of Chinese communism" by pushing for global AI regulation. Thiel argued that regulation would stifle the US much faster than China, and any US pause would ultimately help Beijing.
