Conclusions from this 3D reconstruction comparison series:
Humans currently still outperform these models in fine-grained matching, indicating significant room for improvement. However, it's worth noting that this benchmark uses extremely difficult image pairs; the above conclusion might not hold true if the image pairs were simpler. This is the third post in the series.
