3D Reconstruction Eval: High Pairwise Accuracy vs VGGT Simplicity

The author compares two types of methods for 3D reconstruction (Structure from Motion, SfM):
1) Pairwise matching models offer the best accuracy but require complex supporting tools like COLMAP; 2) The VGGT architecture is extremely simple but falls significantly behind under high-precision requirements (stricter pixel thresholds). This is the second post in the comparison series.
