World's First Enforceable AI Copyright Law Takes Effect Aug 2

The EU will implement what is known as the world's first substantially enforceable AI copyright regulation on August 2. AI companies must meet three requirements: first, publicly disclose summaries of training data using official templates; second, respect opt-out mechanisms—if creators use machine-readable signals to prevent training, this must be adhered to, otherwise facing fines of up to 15 million euros or 3% of global revenue; third, label generated content.
