32 frontier AI labs · 140 roles added in 24h · agihunt.info/en/jobs

Today at a glance

  • Anthropic doubles down on physical security and EMEA/APAC coverage: four IT Support Engineer roles across New York, San Francisco, London, and Dublin, two AV Engineer roles (London, New York), and Customer Success Managers in Munich (DACH) and Tokyo suggest Anthropic is building out office security infrastructure and localized go-to-market coverage at the same time.
  • Safety and governance roles surface at the frontier labs: Google DeepMind (谷歌 DeepMind) posted a Research Scientist, FSF Risk Modeling and Governance, and OpenAI added a User Safety & Risk Operations Analyst for its Global Response team in Singapore — both point to continued investment in safety-adjacent operations rather than pure research headcount.
  • Microsoft AI posts the day's largest churn: 58 additions against 76 closures (net -18) is the sharpest single-day contraction on the board, even as its 225 net additions over the past 7 days remain far ahead of every other company tracked.
  • Infrastructure and hardware threads continue at Meta and Cerebras: Meta AI's Compiler Engineer, Graph Compiler Performance Optimization and Supply Chain Capacity Engineer (Data Center) sit alongside Cerebras' Staff Design Verification Engineer — all on the compute-buildout side of the business rather than model research.
  • Baidu AI (百度 AI) leads a sales-heavy day on the China board: 13 of today's 23 China-based additions came from Baidu, mostly in its ACG group, including a dedicated "销售-具身智能行业方向" (sales, embodied-intelligence vertical) role — while most other China labs stayed flat.

Company moves

OpenAI: 6 new roles (71 over 7 days), 11 closures. Postings skew finance/product — Strategic Finance for B2B Product, Corporate Development Deal Lead, Machine Learning Data Scientist for Forecasting — alongside a Product Designer for GenUI and the Singapore-based safety ops analyst noted above.

Anthropic: 16 new roles (56 over 7 days), 8 closures — today's largest single addition count. Beyond the security and international CS roles, it added a Staff Software Engineer, Infrastructure (Distributed Systems) in London and finance roles (M&A Tax Director, Manager Infrastructure Capex Accounting), pointing to simultaneous investment in physical footprint, international sales, and finance operations tied to growing compute spend.

Google DeepMind (谷歌 DeepMind): 8 new roles (26 over 7 days), 5 closures. A mix of governance (FSF Risk Modeling and Governance), inference engineering (Software Engineer, Model Inference), and Senior Software Engineer, Product Security — a governance-and-infra combination rather than a single theme.

Microsoft AI: 58 new roles (225 over 7 days), 76 closures — the largest volume on both sides of the board. New postings include a Senior Software Engineer - Red Team, an AI Transformation Consulting Leader spanning the UK, France, and the Netherlands, and a Strategic Account Technology Strategist, Defence and Intelligence for Australia, alongside core Redmond engineering.

Meta AI: 3 new roles (13 over 7 days), 3 closures — all three sit on the infrastructure/hardware side: compiler performance, a Meta Superintelligence Labs research engineer, and data-center supply-chain capacity.

NVIDIA (英伟达): 1 new role (30 over 7 days), 21 closures. Today's only posting is a Senior AI Researcher - BioNemo and TAO, against the day's second-largest closure count.

Apple AIML (苹果 AIML): 3 new roles (21 over 7 days), 5 closures — health-focused, with a Health AIML Senior Research Scientist in Cupertino and a Machine Learning Engineer, Health AIML in Seattle, plus a Staff ML Engineer for Ads Auction.

SpaceXAI: 4 new roles (40 over 7 days), 2 closures — Human Data Manager and Analytics Engineer in Palo Alto, a Senior Security Engineer for EU/UK GRC in London, and a Data Center software engineering role split between Memphis and Southaven.

Perplexity: 8 new roles (13 over 7 days), 2 closures. Recruiting-for-recruiting is visible — Technical Sourcer/Recruiter, AI roles in San Francisco, London, Serbia, and Berlin — alongside a Member of Technical Staff for Search ranking quality and an Engineering Site Lead in London.

Cohere: 3 new roles (13 over 7 days), 1 closure — Senior Account Executive roles in Sweden and Madrid plus a Head of Impact & Sustainability, a European sales push.

Scale AI: 5 new roles (12 over 7 days), 2 closures — an Area Manager, Red Team, a National Security Policy, Senior Manager in Washington, DC, and a Forward Deployed full-stack engineer in London.

Cerebras: 1 new role (2 over 7 days) — a Staff Design Verification Engineer at its Sunnyvale headquarters.

Lovable: 1 new role (15 over 7 days), 1 closure — a Community Manager, Virtual Spaces spanning New York and Boston.

Cursor, Together AI, and SenseTime SenseNova (商汤日日新) each logged only closures today (4, 1, and 1 respectively), with no new roles surfacing.

Baidu AI (百度 AI): 13 new roles (27 over 7 days), 2 closures — the most active China-based board today, almost entirely sales roles under its ACG group across Shanghai, Shenzhen, Beijing, Wuhan, and Chengdu, plus a "销售-具身智能行业方向" (embodied-intelligence sales) role and a "大模型算法工程师" (large-model algorithm engineer) posting.

ByteDance Doubao/Seed (字节跳动豆包/Seed): 2 new roles (11 over 7 days), 3 closures — an "AIGC产品经理(短剧AI变现方向)" (AIGC product manager, short-drama monetization) under Douyin e-commerce and a "豆包语音产品经理" (Doubao voice product manager) under Volcano Engine.

Moonshot AI (月之暗面 Kimi), DeepSeek (深度求索), StepFun (阶跃星辰), ModelBest (面壁智能), and 01.AI (零一万物) each added one to three roles: a "法务BP" (legal business partner) at Moonshot, a "深度学习研发工程师" (deep learning R&D engineer) at DeepSeek, a "资源运营(采购方向)" (resource operations, procurement) at StepFun, an "企业信息化负责人" (enterprise IT lead), "投资者关系" (investor relations), and "会计核算" (accounting) at ModelBest against 4 closures, and an HRBP plus an "AI教育内容开发实习生(哈萨克语/俄语方向)" (AI education content intern, Kazakh/Russian) at 01.AI.

Mistral AI, Zhipu AI (智谱 AI), Meituan LongCat (美团·龙猫), Tencent Hunyuan (腾讯混元), MiniMax (Hailuo) (MiniMax 海螺), and Alibaba Tongyi Qwen (阿里通义千问) showed no change today.

What it signals

Over the past 7 days, the 19 global companies on this board added 547 roles combined, versus 61 across the 13 China-based labs — roughly a nine-to-one gap. Microsoft AI alone accounts for 225 of the global total, or about 41%, meaning one company's hiring pace is comparable to the rest of the global board combined. On the China side, Baidu's 27 additions make up about 44% of the region's 7-day total, with the remainder spread thinly across ByteDance, ModelBest, Moonshot, and a handful of single-digit movers. The asymmetry isn't just about scale — it's about where headcount concentrates. Global labs are adding roles across a wide spread of functions (infra, safety, sales, security), while China's 7-day activity is narrower, driven mostly by one or two companies' commercial pushes.

The recurring appearance of security and safety-titled roles — Anthropic's IT Support and AV Engineer postings, Google DeepMind's FSF Risk Modeling and Governance scientist, OpenAI's Global Response safety analyst — suggests these functions are being staffed as dedicated, scaling teams rather than folded into general operations. That these roles span both physical security (badge access, AV systems) and policy-facing governance work at the same time indicates labs are treating trust, safety, and security as a broadening job category, not a narrow research specialty.

Hardware and infrastructure hiring remains a steady undercurrent rather than a single day's spike: Meta AI's compiler and data-center supply-chain roles, Cerebras' hardware verification hire, and SpaceXAI's data-center software engineering posting all point at continued compute build-out across companies with otherwise different product focuses — foundation-model labs, chip designers, and infrastructure operators alike are still adding to the physical and systems layer beneath the models.

Finally, today's net figure across all 32 companies — 140 additions against 152 closures — reads negative mainly because of Microsoft's churn (58 versus 76). Strip Microsoft out and the rest of the board added more than it closed today, a reminder that swings at the largest, highest-volume employer can move the aggregate net figure without reflecting the broader hiring trend across the other 31 companies tracked.
