Anthropic Updates RSP, May Be Near AI R&D Acceleration Threshold

Anthropic updated its Responsible Scaling Policy, saying internal estimates suggest it may soon meet the definition of 'significant AI-attributable acceleration' of research progress. AI 2027 author Daniel Kokotajlo argued that if the threshold is triggered, ASI could arrive earlier than forecast.
