Study Finds Misaligned Single-View Novel View Synthesis Benchmarks, Proposes Fix
A new arXiv paper reveals that popular single-view novel view synthesis benchmarks are misaligned, and test-time optimization alignment can skew evaluations. After correcting the misalignment, 3D Gaussians-based methods regain state-of-the-art performance.
