EMNLP Oral Paper Open-Sources Multilingual Models and Cross-Layer Transcoders

A paper from Jinesis Lab and others, accepted as an EMNLP 2026 Oral, uses cross-layer transcoders to reveal shared multilingual representations in LLMs, showing that intervening on language features can suppress one language and replace it with another. The team also open-sourced 9 multilingual models, 3 fine-tuned models, and their CLTs.
