Study Finds Training Tasks Pull Neural Network Weights Into Distinct Clusters

A team from FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg and others showed in Frontiers in Cognition that different training tasks pull neural networks into distinct clusters in weight space, with clustering emerging after just four updates on MNIST-like datasets.
