Baseten and Goodfire Launch Project Beacon, Building Safety into the Inference Layer

Baseten has announced Project Beacon in partnership with interpretability firm Goodfire, embedding safety tools directly into the inference layer for open-source models. CEO Tuhin Srivastava discussed the project on CNBC, arguing that open models allow safety to be built in at the serving layer rather than relying on model providers' guardrails.
