Ideogram Launches Vector Model: Text and Images to Editable SVG in Seconds

On October 23, image generation company Ideogram officially launched its first vector model, Ideogram Vector, along with the companion Vectorizer tool. Its two core capabilities: generating clean, editable SVG vector graphics directly from text prompts, and converting any existing image into a detailed, scalable vector graphic in about 5 seconds—suited for logos, typography, illustrations, posters, and more. Unlike most AI image tools that output only flat PNGs, every shape in its SVG output is an independent, editable path with smooth gradients and crisp typography.

Confirmed

Why it matters

Vector output tackles two long-standing pain points of AI-generated images: pixel graphics blur when scaled up, and AI-rendered text is often misspelled. A single SVG file works as both a small icon and large-format print material, with every shape independently editable and modifiable in tandem with other AI tools (such as LLMs), opening new automation possibilities for design workflows.
