ElevenLabs Launches Chimera: Bring Characters to Life with One Image and One Line
ElevenLabs has released a new workflow called Chimera through its ElevenCreative suite, pairing its Eleven v4 voice model with the Seedance 2.5 video model to make any character image "talk." Users simply create or upload a character in ElevenCreative, write a script, and pick or design a matching voice, then generate a fully produced talking-character video with expressive voice acting and realistic facial lip-sync in a single pipeline. Several bloggers (including JaynitMakwana and azedai) covered the workflow in a burst of posts on October 22–23.
Confirmed
- Chimera is a workflow inside ElevenCreative that combines the Eleven v3/v4 voice models (for voice performance) with the Seedance 2.5 video model (for animating the character's face)
- Minimal input: a single character image plus one line or a passage of dialogue, along with a chosen or cloned voice, is enough to generate a finished video
- Creator MaAyyoub has publicly tested it: using just one image and the line "I'm fine, son.", along with his cloned voice and Eleven v4 audio tags, he generated an emotionally expressive performance and said the result exceeded his expectations
Why it matters
- The workflow chains voice performance and lip-sync video generation into a single pipeline, so individual creators can produce complete talking-character videos without stitching together multiple tools, dramatically lowering the barrier to entry
- The combination of voice cloning and audio tags shows controllable emotional expressiveness, with direct applications in animation, short dramas, virtual character content, and similar scenarios
