DFB Laser Coupled to Thin-Film Lithium Niobate Chip Delivers up to 170mW

Measurements show a DFB laser heterogeneously coupled to an LNOI photonic chip achieves up to 170mW output with a 40–45mA threshold, while edge coupling via a dual-taper coupler incurs about 7dB total insertion loss, over 2dB of which is coupling loss.
