Tsinghua-UChicago Team Open-Sources LLM Agent Study on Polarization Interventions
A Tsinghua–University of Chicago team open-sourced an LLM-agent testbed for studying polarization. Restructuring networks failed to reduce polarization and forced cross-camp contact moved opinions only 2%, while prompting agents to stay open-minded cut polarization by 11.8% and neutral opinion leaders by over 8%.
