Huawei Ascend SuperNode Advances Spark Energy Efficiency Debate

Huawei claims its CloudMatrix 950 SuperNode can scale from 550B to 10T-parameter models, and reports over 1,000 Ascend 910C SuperNode deployments with 40+ large models natively pretrained. However, analysts estimate NVIDIA B200 delivers about 4.4x the dense FP8 performance-per-watt of the 950W TDP Ascend 950DT.
