Study Finds Most Preregistered Studies Deviate From Their Plans

Audits of preregistration practices show that while basic elements are well specified, fewer than 10% of studies correct for multiple hypotheses. Among preregistered articles, 84% deviated from their plans and 17 made no disclosure of the deviation.
