Genomic Language Model Designs Non-Natural Biosynthetic Assembly Lines
Teams from UC Berkeley, UCSF and LBL posted a bioRxiv paper using the genomic language model gLM2 to generatively design new-to-nature polyketide synthase assembly lines that produce molecules not found in nature, tackling complex cross-domain interactions via training on massive evolutionary data.
