GenBio AI Team Defines Virtual Cell World Model in Cell

GenBio AI co-founder Lei Song and CMU professor Eric Xing published a paper in Cell proposing a systematic definition of the "virtual cell" as a multimodal, multi-scale, dynamic and stateful world model. The paper also discusses foundational issues of architecture, algorithms and evaluation for building fully controllable virtual cells.
