hardikpandya's stop-slop (17.1k GitHub stars): 37 edits, the most of the four, adding a net 5 words—because "making the subject of actions explicit" takes more words.
petergyang's no-ai-slop (9k GitHub stars, one-click install into ChatGPT/Claude Code/Codex): 16 edits with a net loss of 15 words, all structural; its 55-word banned list was never triggered in this test.
addyosmani's clarity: 15 paragraphs with a net loss of 10 words, the only skill that diagnoses the article before editing; the author considers it the winner for its insight into overall document structure.

Why it matters

As AI-assisted writing spreads, "de-AI" skills are proliferating, but users often don't know each tool's actual scope. This head-to-head test on the same draft shows you should first identify whether your problem is sentence-level slop, paragraph structure, or whole-document logic before choosing a tool; blindly stacking multiple skills can actually undermine the results.
