Developer builds interactive 3D racing game with GPT-6 Astra

On September 13, developer cedricchee documented an experiment using GPT-6 (Astra) to build a 3D racing game. He fed the model Gran Turismo gameplay footage and the F1 movie, producing an interactive 3D racing scene with elements including a main menu. He reported that some visuals reached near game-grade quality in one shot, though the overall process was not fully one-shot and required frequent switching between high and light reasoning modes. For validation, he used Astra's unlocked in-app browser to have the model playtest the game like a human and read the DOM, which he found much faster and more token-efficient than headless approaches like Playwright. Going forward, he plans to prioritize gameplay and audio over visual fidelity, with token budget as the current bottleneck.
