Stripe Launches Link Agent Wallets, Letting AI Agents Pay Across the Web

On September 6–7, Stripe product lead Jeff Weinstein announced and detailed Link's new agent payment capabilities on X: with user control and authorization, AI agents can hold a Link wallet to complete online purchases and read financial data such as spending, balances and trends to answer users' questions. It marks a signature step for payment infrastructure extending into the AI agent era, and has already triggered developer tests and discussion.
