Lux3D Launches: One Photo or One Text Prompt to Exportable 3D Models in 40 Seconds

Lux3D launched an AI 3D generation tool that turns a single photo or one-line text prompt into complete, exportable 3D models. Publisher @drcintas argues the era of AI 3D models that 'look melted' is over.

Confirmed

• Single image or text input suffices: a 'steampunk mechanical owl' prompt produced a 3DGS (3D Gaussian Splatting) preview in 20 seconds and a clean mesh in 40, with the whole process taking about a minute
• A hands-on test using four photos of a ceramic mug (front, side, back and an intermediate angle) produced a complete 3D model directly exportable as GLB with no cleanup needed
• Beyond silhouette and base color, it reconstructs PBR properties including metalness, roughness, transparency and refractive gloss
• Two interfaces are offered: Workbench for one-click generation, and Canvas for node-based workflows with finer step-by-step control; the author shared a trial link

Why it matters

• Traditional 3D modeling is manual; Lux3D compresses the photo-or-text-to-usable-mesh pipeline to about a minute with PBR materials and format export built in, sharply lowering the barrier to 3D content creation. All demonstrations come from the publisher, with no independent third-party verification yet
