WorkBuddy Showcases Multi-Agent Collaboration and Multi-Format Document Editing
WorkBuddy is an AI tool positioned around completing tasks rather than generating replies; in late August multiple creators demoed its multi-agent collaboration and multi-format document editing capabilities, drawing attention.
Confirmed
- The tool ships with 100+ skills and expert teams (e.g., content creator, trends researcher), runs multiple tasks in parallel, and returns finished files directly into existing workflows (hands-on by @thisguyknowsai, demos by @drcintas)
- A single instruction can drive a full team, with integrations across GitHub, Notion, Linear and Canva, assigning different parts of a task to specialized agents
- The CoWrite feature enables real-time editing of selected portions (sentences, cell ranges, slides) in DOCX, Excel, PPT and MD without disturbing the rest of the layout; in practice it can modify specific cells in spreadsheets and edit presentations
- Demo case: the "trends researcher" agent summarized a company, pulled its full valuation history, and produced a sourced 6-slide report against the AI funding landscape
- Generated documents (e.g., PDFs) can be output directly to a desktop folder; @drcintas shared a trial link
Why it matters
- Combining multi-agent collaboration with real multi-format file editing means AI output can slot directly into existing office workflows rather than staying in chat replies
- For composite tasks spanning documents, spreadsheets and decks (e.g., fundraising due diligence), it can substantially cut manual copying and format conversion
