Alibaba's Wan 3.0 Lands on Magnific with 30-Second Native Audio Video and Strong Character Consistency
Alibaba's Tongyi Wanxiang Wan 3.0 video generation model was integrated into the Magnific platform on August 24–25, sparking a wave of user tests. According to feedback from multiple creators, the model achieves notable breakthroughs in native duration, audio-video sync, character consistency, and cinematic shot direction, with @JaynitMakwana calling it "a pretty significant leap." The platform currently offers a 40% discount through September 30.
Confirmed
- Wan 3.0 is live on Magnific (@iamfakhrealam, @AIwithGhotai, and others), and later also arrived on Newtake, a platform focused on cinematic visual creation (as relayed by @SimplyAnnisa)
- A single call can generate a 30-second 1080p video with sound, with no need to switch between text-to-video and image-to-video modes—one prompt does it all (@thetripathi58, @iamfakhrealam)
- A single prompt can produce 7 storyboard shots, supporting complex camera moves such as push-in/pull-out, 180-degree orbits, and multi-angle sequences (@thetripathi58, @iamfakhrealam)
- Multilingual lip-sync is stable: it stays in sync even when the language switches mid-scene or the camera cuts, which @iamfakhrealam notes is where most video models still fail; @thetripathi58 tested syncing with a Spanish accent
- Character consistency is markedly improved: @iamfakhrealam says the same face stays consistent across multiple scenes, fixing an issue from the previous version; @mhdfaran tested with two very different character reference images and confirmed neither character's identity is lost in the same scene
- Broad style coverage: beyond realistic cinematic looks, it supports children's content, 3D animation, and characters who sing or speak with accents (@smohinii, @iamfakhrealam)
- @JaynitMakwana noted that faces in close-ups lack the typical uncanny AI stiffness, and motion remains stable even in chaotic scenes
- @mhdfaran outlined the Magnific workflow: choose the model, upload reference images, describe the scene, set resolution and duration, then generate
- The platform offers a 40% discount through September 30 (@thetripathi58, @iamfakhrealam)
Why it matters
- 30-second native audio output plus storyboard-level control marks AI video's leap from generating single clips to coherent storytelling (multiple shots, multiple characters, dialogue); @smohinii believes it can turn simple ideas into complete stories with sound, dialogue, and directed shots
- Close-up facial expressions and speaking characters hold up—if the claim of "unlimited facial expressions, anyone can be the protagonist" holds true, it could dramatically lower the barrier to story-driven short films
- Unifying text-to-video and image-to-video workflows with controllable credit usage (@thetripathi58 says it doesn't burn too many credits) has real practical value for scaled content production
