DNA-perovskite hybrid chip cuts energy use 100x
Penn State researchers combined synthetic short-strand DNA with perovskite semiconductors to create a bio-hybrid compute-in-memory device that stores and processes information in the same place, consuming about 1% of the power of traditional chips.
