New Auditing Engine Reveals Up to 10x Token Cost Gap Across 9 Agent Frameworks

Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory and other institutions introduced A²E, an end-to-end auditing engine that evaluates mainstream agent frameworks. Tests across 23 benchmarks using the same underlying model revealed up to a 10x difference in token consumption among nine popular frameworks.
