SAM 3.1 Quantized to INT4: 40% VRAM Reduction with No Quality Loss

Developers have released INT8 and INT4 quantized versions of the SAM 3.1 model. The INT4 version reduces the checkpoint size by nearly 40% and saves around 600MB of VRAM without compromising image quality, significantly lowering hardware barriers.
