Sandberg: AI Will Cull Solvable Conjectures First
Anders Sandberg said using AI to probe mathematical conjectures is compelling, but it will likely first eliminate many problems that are already solvable with existing tools. What remains, he argued, will be the truly difficult questions that require new mathematics, such as whether a convex polyhedron can lack a non-overlapping net.
