Qwen3-VL Beats 6 Open-Source VLMs in Medical Image Desensitization Test
A local evaluation tested seven small open-source VLMs as a "second reader" to identify personal information in medical images. Qwen3-VL 4B outperformed the rest by successfully identifying all 7 markers in 6.9 seconds, even catching missed clinic names.
