ZooData Launches Structured Data Layer for AI Agents

ZooData (also ZooDataAI) recently promoted a data layer product designed for AI agents, advocating for "better data, not more data." The product aims to solve the noise issues caused by existing browsing tools that return raw HTML or lengthy Markdown. By converting web pages directly into clean, structured JSON, it saves context and costs for workflows like scraping, RAG, and e-commerce intelligence. Multiple developers and bloggers tested and recommended the product line between July 18 and July 20.

Key Details and Performance Metrics

@socialwithaayan, @iamfakhrealam, and @aliscodes pointed out that many scraping APIs simply dump raw HTML to agents, forcing the models to clean up scripts, cookie banners, and navigation noise, which consumes context and drives up costs. ZooData returns agent-ready structured JSON without the need for schemas, parsing, or post-processing. In a practical test by @iamfakhrealam comparing the same page, Markdown was about 120KB, while the structured JSON was only 29KB, reducing downstream tokens by about 75%. @socialwithaayan cited overall benefits of roughly 75% fewer tokens, 4x data density, and costs reduced to 1/5th. @SarahAnnabels shared an Amazon link case where original data of about 7,900 tokens was significantly reduced after conversion to clean JSON/MD. @future_coded added that structured extraction is already included in the base layer.

Commerce Data Layer and Billing

In addition to web-to-JSON, @socialwithaayan and @future_coded introduced the product's second layer: commerce data. The agent-oriented Commerce Packs organize e-commerce data into structured packages that are "ready to query, no scraping required." Currently supporting Amazon and TikTok, the packs cover price history, trends, and competitor signals. More marketplaces will be integrated in the future, allowing users to pull data directly without doing another round of extraction. The billing method is pay-per-call.
