MIT-EPFL Amphibious Robot Switches Between Air and Water

MIT and EPFL researchers developed an amphibious robot that can swim underwater, leap out of the water, and continue flying in the air. It can also dive into water at about 5 m/s, slow to roughly 0.5 m/s, and keep moving underwater with flapping wings, demonstrating stable two-way air-water transitions.
